The annual festival brings together 15,000 people to MacArthur Boulevard. We celebrate the immense talent and diverse culture of our Laurel, our Oakland, and our Bay Area community.

In these challenging post-pandemic times, we bring to life a robust, global music festival spanning more than 8 city blocks full of hope, rhythm, art, makers & crafters, cuisine, folkloric traditions and a whole lot more. A destination for all ages and abilities, the Laurel StreetFair World Music Festival shines the light on a traditionally underserved area of Oakland and shows that joy is always universal and that art will always be a tool of resilience, healing and connection.

About the laurel streetfair
The Laurel Street Fair World Music Festival is an admission free, all ages community fundraiser and celebration of art, cuisine, dance and music from around the globe. Funds raised from the festival go directly back into the Laurel District community; helping to provide public art projects, graffiti and trash removal, street-scape improvements, facade improvements and to help promote the many wonderful small businesses that make the Laurel District so special.
The Laurel StreetFair World Music Festival is lovingly produced by a small and dedicated team of Oakland natives and Oakland residents who love the Laurel and care about creating positive events that bring the community together over and over.

ANNOUNCEMENT: MacArthur Blvd. will be closed between 35th Ave. and Maybelle on Saturday, August 10, from 4:00am until approximately 11:30pm. West bound AC Transit busses will pick up at High St. and use 580 to Coolidge; East bound routes will pick up at both High St. and 35th Ave. Passenger vehicles are encouraged to use 580 also or Redding for East bound detour and Masterson/Kansas for West bound detour. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
